Bartender The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the resort. Restaurant Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.Guest Service - Wait staff are responsible for a variety of guest service tasks including but not limited tooProviding excellent guest service oGreeting patrons once they are seatedoExplaining menu items to guestoAnswering questions from guests about food and beveragesoUpdating information with guests about the status of their ordersoRefilling guest drink orders throughout their mealoBeing sensible to guests who may need additional items or helpoFollowing up with guests to verify they are satisfied with their ordersSales Duties - Bartenders must be able to handle different sales specific tasks including but not limited tooUp-selling additional food, desserts and beveragesoSuggestive selling of promotional itemsoTaking orders from guests and inputting them accurately into a POS systemoDelivering checks in a timely and polite manneroAccepting payments precisely oEncouraging guests to complete surveys, contests, etc

OperationsoCommunicating guest orders to kitchen staff when neededoMix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.oCheck identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholoHandle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures.oCollect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.oEnsure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus and promotions.oMaintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc. as needed.o Other duties as assigned.oEnsuring guest orders are presented properly oDelivering orders to guests in an efficient manneroRemoving empty plates, silverware, cups and used napkins from tablesoDetermining when guests have completed their mealsoAttending team and/or shift meetings in a punctual manneroTraining new food servers oAssisting other team members Compliance - Bartenders plays an important role in regulatory obligations including but not limited tooVerifying age of guests who order alcoholic beveragesoAdhering to health dept

rules and regulationsoPracticing and training the principles of safe food handling and serviceoCompliant with Three Dollar Cafe's bylaws and practices Knowledge, skills and abilities oAbility to operate a point of sale system (POS) including processing payments. oAbility to communicate in a professional manner with guests and team membersoAbility to read, comprehend and follow instructions and menu itemsoRecognizing different spirits, alcohol, etc. oAbility to make most common mix drinksoPrevious bartending service experience or formal bartending knowledge of 2 yrs a in a fast paced environment.
