Pay: $24-25/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday 
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

A respected faith-based organization in Portland is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented professional to join our team as a Family Counselor & Office Administrator. This unique role combines client support, administrative operations, records management, and sales-related responsibilities in a meaningful environment where you can make a direct impact on families during important life transitions.
 
Position Summary-
The Family Counselor & Office Administrator serves as a primary point of contact for families, assisting with arrangements, coordinating services, maintaining accurate records, and supporting daily office operations. This is an active, relationship-driven role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build trust with families while managing multiple responsibilities

Essential Job Duties-
  • Guide families through the selection of services and arrangements with professionalism and compassion.
  • Build relationships and identify opportunities to educate families on advance planning options.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors, answering phones, and addressing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and transaction information.
  • Coordinate and verify paperwork, signatures, and related documentation.
  • Assist with office administration, data entry, filing, and record management.
  • Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and administrative projects.
  • Manage office supplies and ensure resources are readily available.
  • Foster positive relationships with community partners, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Requirements-
  • 2+ years of experience in administrative support, customer service, sales, family services, funeral services, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office technology.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Bilingual Spanish or Vietnamese skills are a plus
