Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an AvI Process Lead to join the Avionics Integration CoTE. This senior technical role will oversee and lead processes for avionics integration activities across component, lab, ground, and flight representative environments to enable end to end system performance. The process lead will drive process definition and execution, coordinate hands on integration as needed, direct test and characterization efforts, and lead technical coordination with engineering and supplier teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Define, manage, and lead processes for avionics integration activities for flight and mission hardware components and subsystems.
  • Oversee design, development, and execution of integration plans and HW/SW setups that exercise avionics components and subsystems in representative environments.
  • Coordinate integration of sensors, communications, processors, firmware, and other flight and mission capabilities into component, subsystem, and system-of-system configurations to demonstrate functionality and mission capability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, software, and supplier teams to define and enforce best practices, standards, and establish defined processes for subsystems and capabilities.
  • Develop, maintain, and approve integration procedures, test reports, and system performance assessment templates focused on component, subsystem, and integrated capability performance.
  • Manage SW-to-lab and lab-to-flight transition processes, including integration sprints, ground checks, etc.
  • Ensure proper handling and control of Government/customer furnished equipment and technical data in accordance with policies.
  • Enforce adherence to internal engineering processes, safety practices, and applicable industry standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline plus 8 years of related experience, OR Master of Science in a STEM discipline plus 6 years of related experience. Related experience includes hands on hardware integration, test engineering, avionics, or military technical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience with avionics integration, components, subsystems, and integrated capabilities.
  • Experience with Agile processes, systems engineering fundamentals, and leadership of technical projects
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
    Current or prior clearance to a Special Access Program (SAP) or Special Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Proven ability to develop and institutionalize integration procedures, test plans, and technical reports for component, subsystem, and capability validation.
  • Familiarity with hardware/software (HW/SW) integration practices, including software build/deploy pipelines, embedded firmware integration, interface definition and verification, real time OS considerations, and co-validation of HW and SW in HIL environments.
  • Familiarity with security concepts and cryptographic requirements relevant to mission systems, including secure boot, key management, crypto modules, secure communications, and handling of classified/controlled cryptographic material.

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $213,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
