Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver / Test Vehicle Operator
Location: Dallas, TX
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Weekly
Contract: Long-Term Ongoing Contract

AVride, in partnership with HireArt and Uber, is hiring professional Safety Drivers to support real-world autonomous vehicle testing and live passenger ride operations in Dallas, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers looking to enter the rapidly growing self-driving vehicle industry and work with cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles on public roads
  • Remain alert and ready to take vehicle control when necessary
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
  • Monitor vehicle system performance and road conditions
  • Submit detailed operational and safety reports
  • Communicate professionally with engineers, riders, and operations teams
  • Practice defensive driving and hazard anticipation at all times
Required Qualifications
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Valid U.S. driver's license held continuously for 3+ years
  • Clean driving record with no DUIs or major violations
  • 3+ years of professional driving experience OR 4+ years of full-time rideshare driving
  • Active Uber Driver account in good standing
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
  • Comfortable driving in traffic, highways, night shifts, and changing weather conditions
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using GPS, routing, and communication apps
  • Authorized to work in the United States (No visa sponsorship available)
