The main difference between a Temporary Athletic Trainer Nfl and a College Athletic Trainer lies in their work environment and industry focus. Do NFL teams hire temporary athletic trainers?

NFL teams typically do not hire temporary athletic trainers for regular season roles, as they usually employ full-time staff to ensure consistent injury management and player care. However, temporary or contract athletic trainers may be brought in for specific events, training camps, or to fill in during staff absences, often requiring relevant certifications such as the NATA-BOC and experience with sports medicine. These positions are usually short-term and based on team needs and scheduling.

How to get a job as a temporary athletic trainer in the NFL?

To become a temporary athletic trainer in the NFL, candidates typically need a bachelor's degree in athletic training or a related field, along with certification from the Board of Certification (BOC). Gaining experience through internships or working with sports teams, and obtaining CPR and first aid certifications, can improve chances. Networking within the sports medicine community and applying through team openings or staffing agencies that work with NFL teams are also important steps.

What other jobs can a temporary athletic trainer do?

A temporary athletic trainer can work in related roles such as sports medicine technician, physical therapy aide, or fitness trainer, utilizing skills in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and patient care.
