Job description

Warehouse and Delivery Associate
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Warehouse and Delivery Associate for an HVACR wholesale distributor based in Knoxville, TN. This distributor has over 450 sites to service the entire US. This is a full time temporary to hire position.

Pay Rate
$20.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
7:30am-4:30pm Monday- Friday

Warehouse and Delivery Associate Duties and Responsibilities
  • Drive delivery truck or van to transport items to other stores or customer locations.
  • Assist with customer service and sales, including answering phones, greeting customers, and servicing the sales counter.
  • Loads delivery vehicles and assists customers with will call pickups.
  • Processes documentation necessary to ship inter-store transfers and customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, small parcel manifests
  • Receives, processes and stores incoming product shipments.
  • Ensures shipments are inspected and damages or shortages are noted on trucking company delivery document. Initiates freight claim procedure when necessary.
  • Checks incoming delivery contents against packing list to verify accurate and full delivery.
  • Operates hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and other equipment
Warehouse and Delivery Associate Qualifications and Requirements
  • F- endorsement with clean MVR
  • Current DOT physical
  • Experience driving a forklift and other equipment
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge and skill in the use of inventory management systems and office software
  • Lift 50-75lbs during workday (in office assessment will be given)
  • High School diploma or GED
