Our values: Respect Kindness Professionalism Integrity Collaboration Job description: We are looking for Special Education Technicians / Special Education Teachers to work with different client groups in school, community, institutional or residential settings. Mandates may include the following client groups: ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) DI (Intellectual Disability) Behavioral problems Mental health Youth protection Rehabilitation Elderly people experiencing a loss of autonomy School and community settings Main responsibilities: Intervene with users according to established intervention plans. To promote the development of autonomy, social and behavioral skills.
Observe, document and monitor behaviors and progress. To lead educational, preventative and therapeutic activities. Collaborating with families and the interdisciplinary team.
To ensure a safe, structured and caring environment. Comply with professional standards, clinical protocols and CNESST rules. Requirements: DEC in Special Education Techniques (TES) or related field.
Experience working with clients with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, mental health or youth (major asset). Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to intervene. Sense of responsibility, autonomy and team spirit.
Good command of spoken and written French. Driver's license and vehicle (an asset depending on the mandates). Criminal record check required.
