$25.00/Hour | Monday–Friday | 3:15 PM–11:30 PM | Temp-to-Hire

Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: Starting at $25.00/hour
About the Opportunity
We are currently hiring an experienced Assembly Operator – Glass Kits for our client, a manufacturing company located in Carlstadt, NJ.
The Assembly Operator will be responsible for assembling glass kits into wood doors while ensuring proper fit, sizing, alignment, and finish. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with moldings, measuring and cutting materials, installing molding, and applying caulk to a professional finished standard.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble glass kits into doors according to job specifications.
  • Measure and accurately cut moldings to required dimensions.
  • Confirm door openings and verify the correct glass size before installation.
  • Install molding around glass units according to specifications.
  • Apply caulk neatly and consistently for a clean finished appearance.
  • Inspect completed doors for gaps, defects, misalignment, and overall quality.
  • Read and follow job tickets and work orders to confirm specifications.
  • Report material shortages, dimensional discrepancies, or other issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe assembly workstation.
  • Handle glass components carefully and follow all applicable safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience assembling with moldings required.
  • Experience measuring and cutting moldings accurately.
  • Experience verifying door openings and glass sizing for proper fit.
  • Experience installing molding and applying caulk to a finished standard.
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a production environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move doors and glass units up to 75 lbs., with assistance as needed.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and use hands and arms repetitively.
  • Ability to carefully handle glass components.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment.
