You may work individually or with other models, and frequent breaks are built in for your comfort. Collaboration with the class or artists is minimal but important—for example, adjusting poses or providing feedback on your comfort. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to hold poses steadily are highly valued in this role.

What are Temporary Artist Figure Models?

Temporary Artist Figure Models are individuals who pose for artists, art classes, or workshops on a short-term basis to help students and professionals practice drawing or sculpting the human form. These models may pose clothed or nude, depending on the requirements of the session, and typically work on a freelance or as-needed basis. Their role is to hold poses for varying lengths of time, allowing artists to study anatomy, posture, and proportion.
