Job description

Join a Growing Team of HVAC Professionals

TRS Heating, Air Conditioning & Electrical Excellence is seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to install residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems throughout Western New York. If you have experience leading installations, take pride in quality workmanship, and enjoy working independently while delivering exceptional customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As the Lead HVAC Installer, you will:

  • Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and other HVAC equipment.
  • Complete installations safely, efficiently, and according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Read and interpret installation plans and job specifications.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners, and team members.
  • Recommend indoor air quality products, system upgrades, replacement equipment, and additional services when appropriate.
  • Ensure all work meets local codes and company quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
  • Complete required paperwork and job documentation.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-8 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
  • Experience installing furnaces and central air conditioning systems required.
  • Experience with boilers, generators, heat pumps, and water heaters is a plus.
  • EPA Certification is preferred but not required (company-paid testing available).
  • Must provide your own hand tools and refrigerant gauges.
  • Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record and insurable status.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules, weather conditions, and customer needs.
