TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified IMC RN in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 03801!

Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiac Step-Down / Surgical Step-Up Unit (CSSU)

Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 15-bed Cardiac Surgical Step-Up Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio on night shift
  • Monitor and manage patients using GE Monitors, Hamilton BiPAP and High-Flow equipment, Baxter IV Pumps, and Hemospheres
  • Titrate vasoactive medications including levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine
  • Perform and assist with unit procedures including chest tube management, arterial line removal, temporary pacing, and pre-op preparation for cardiovascular surgery
  • Complete bedside shift report and update MyCare boards each shift
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New Hampshire or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a step-down, PCU, IMC, or similar acute care setting
  • Strong telemetry skills
  • Experience titrating vasoactive medications
  • Chest tube experience
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with arterial lines and Flo-Trac monitoring
  • Temporary pacing experience
  • Background in cardiovascular or vascular surgical nursing
