Job description

Position Summary
ABAC's Department of English and Communication is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in support of our USG-approved Core Curriculum and the Writing and Communication B.S. degree. We seek qualified adjunct faculty to teach core courses in English and Communication. Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses a semester on an as-needed basis. Possible courses include Composition I and II, Learning Support English, Human Communication, and Public Speaking. These courses may be offered in a traditional face-to-face format or online depending upon the need. The Department of English and Communication offers courses both at ABAC's main site in Tifton and at the instructional site in Bainbridge. Applicants interested in teaching at either site are welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree with a minimum of 18 credits of graduate coursework in either English (to teach Composition I and II and Learning Support English) or Communication (to teach Human Communication and Public Speaking).
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of successful teaching of college-level English or Communication courses preferred.
