Temporary Secondary English Teacher Position
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Rossville Middle/High School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered temporary Secondary English
Teacher to cover a leave of absence beginning November 16, 2026, through March 8, 2027. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about literacy, critical thinking, and fostering meaningful relationships with students.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will teach English Language Arts courses at the middle and/or high school level, supporting students in developing strong reading, writing, speaking, and analytical
skills. This individual will contribute to a collaborative school culture focused on continuous improvement and student success.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in English Language Arts
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Utilize data to inform instructional practices and support student growth
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
