Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, interventional radiology, electrophysiology, vascular procedures, and neurointerventional cases. The technologist will work in a multidisciplinary procedural environment and may float to IR or EP as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

Perform procedural responsibilities according to department standards.

Provide accurate patient monitoring and procedural support.

Perform EKG lead placement.

Scrub and maintain a sterile field during procedures.

Assist with cardiac, vascular, interventional radiology, and neurointerventional procedures.

Support electrophysiology procedures and CRM device implants.

Assist with vascular access and other special procedures.

Provide mentoring/support to other staff when required.

Maintain appropriate documentation using Epic.

Float to Interventional Radiology (IR) or Electrophysiology (EP) when required.

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Shift: 4ร—10-hour day shifts

Call: Required

Call Requirement: 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend

Weekend Coverage: Some Saturdays may be required as part of the regular schedule.

Float: Yes โ€“ may float to IR or EP

Block Scheduling: Not available

Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks

Traveler may be called off for one 10-hour shift per two weeks.

Travel & Candidate Requirements

First-time travelers are accepted.

Local candidates are not accepted; candidate permanent address must be at least 60 miles from the facility.

Valid state license required; pending license may be considered, with processing potentially taking 10โ€“12 weeks.

References are required.

Copy of certifications required.

RTO must be included at the time of submission.

Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

Candidate may only be submitted to one facility within the specified region.

Candidates must follow the facility's return-to-staff/travel policy.

Hepatitis B vaccination is required; the facility does not accept declinations.

Important Compliance Requirements

Two references covering at least one year within the last three years are required during the compliance process.

References may include a Charge RN or Lead.

Modules are non-billable.

Average module time is approximately 18 hours; more than 20 hours requires PM approval.

Modules must be completed before start and annually.

Travelers should investigate housing options in advance because availability may be limited.
