Job description

We are looking for a specialized Product Designer to shape the future of our "lean-back" viewing experiences. In this role, you will design intuitive, high-performance interfaces for OTT and streaming platforms, focusing on the nuances of Connected TV (CTV). You'll bridge the gap between complex media workflows and simple, elegant navigation, ensuring our users can find and enjoy their favorite content effortlessly. If you have a passion for 10-foot UI and experience navigating the constraints of living-room hardware, we want you on our team.
What You'll Do
Design for the Living Room: Create immersive, media-rich experiences tailored for 10-foot UI, focusing on D-pad navigation, remote-control ergonomics, and dual-screen interactions.
Master Platform Constraints: Navigate the technical limitations of various streaming devices to deliver high-performance interfaces that remain clear and responsive.
Optimize Streaming UX: Design for live video and streaming workflows, ensuring that playback controls, discovery, and content transitions are seamless.
Evolve Design Systems: Contribute to scalable design systems that maintain visual and functional consistency across multiple platforms and screen sizes.
Collaborate for Impact: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Editorial teams in a fast-paced media environment to take features from concept to launch.
Who You Are
Experienced: You have 2-4+ years of experience in product design, with a specific focus on OTT, streaming, or CTV products.
10-Foot UI Expert: You possess a deep understanding of information architecture and interaction patterns specific to the lean-back viewing context.
Technically Fluent: You understand the implications of live video and streaming workflows on interface design and performance.
Clear Communicator: You are adept at articulating design decisions to technical and non-technical partners alike, ensuring alignment across the organization.
Self-Driven: You are a proactive problem-solver with strong prioritization skills and a bias toward execution.
