Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. In this role, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. You will receive comprehensive training in a classroom setting for one week, followed by hands-on mentorship on the production floor. This position requires setting up sewing machines with the correct thread, increasing production output to meet expected levels within 13 weeks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial sewing machines to produce medical device parts.
  • Participate in a one-week training class followed by on-floor mentorship.
  • Set up sewing machines with the correct thread.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of 75% industrial sewing machines in a clean GMP setting. Employees are required to wear hair nets and beard nets if applicable. The facility is not climate-controlled, so it may become hot during summer months, but fans are provided at each sewing station. Shifts are available from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with the option for voluntary overtime once certain production rates are met. The workforce is diverse, with over 5-6 languages spoken, fostering an inclusive environment for candidates who may not be fluent in English, provided they can utilize translation technology effectively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Charles, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
