Description:
Participates in clinical monitoring at the unit level.
Participates in established patient, family, staff, and/or student education programs.
Develops, documents, and implements Patient Teaching and Discharge Planning Record.
Identifies unit, staff, and patient care problems.
Takes action or refers problems to appropriate resources when indicated.
May participate in activities of the RN 3, except serving as a facilitator for the Nurse Residency Program.
If competent, serves as a charge RN and monitors productivity and patient flow.
If competent, precepts new staff.
