Job Title: Production Welder

Job Description

Join a high-volume manufacturing environment where you will use blueprints, fixtures, and a variety of welding processes to produce steel and galvanized metal products to precise specifications. You will set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, deliver consistent, high-quality welds, and contribute to a collaborative production team focused on craftsmanship and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate MIG, TIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding equipment.
  • Weld steel, galvanized steel, and stainless-steel parts according to blueprints.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications.
  • Assemble, fit, and weld parts to meet quality standards.
  • Adjust welding machines to ensure consistent, high-quality welds.
  • Use tape measures, protractors, clamps, and fabrication tools.
  • Perform grinding, fitting, and basic fabrication work.
  • Verify dimensions and measurements using basic math skills.
  • Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy.
  • Communicate production and quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous welding, fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong MIG welding experience.
  • Experience working with:
    • Galvanized steel
    • Carbon steel
    • Stainless steel
  • Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure (fractions and decimals).
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and weld quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding.
  • Fabrication and fitting experience.
  • Experience welding structural steel and sheet metal.

  • Experience using fixtures, clamps, weld tables, and fabrication equipment.
  • Production welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to adjust welding parameters for different materials and weld requirements.
Work Environment
  • Non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Loud industrial environment with welding fumes, sparks, and heat.
  • Work with:

  • Regular welding of galvanized, carbon, mild, and stainless steel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
