Job description

DPI Staffing is partnering with one of our customers in the Eugene, OR area to hire Seasonal Maintenance Workers to support essential city operations. This is a great opportunity for hands-on workers who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and contributing to the upkeep of city infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
As a Seasonal Maintenance Worker, you’ll perform a wide range of maintenance and equipment operation duties related to:
  • City streets and traffic control
  • Sewer and stormwater systems
  • Wastewater treatment facilities
  • Drainage systems and related structures
Work may be performed independently or as part of a team and will involve both manual labor and equipment operation.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance activities such as hauling and spreading gravel, shoveling and raking asphalt, clearing catch basins and ditches, and assisting with sewer pipe installation and repair
  • Assist with street maintenance including paving, pothole repair, crack sealing, sweeping, flushing, snow removal, and leaf/gravel collection
  • Support sewer and stormwater maintenance including inspections, line cleaning, grit channel cleaning, smoke testing, and flow monitoring
  • Assist with wastewater treatment operations including cleaning clarifiers, operating pumps, and maintaining treatment systems
  • Perform traffic control maintenance such as sign fabrication, barrier maintenance, and street/curb painting
  • Conduct general maintenance of vehicles, construction equipment, and hand and power tools; identify needed repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Maintain daily work records as required
  • Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance tasks as assigned
