Facility:
This facility is a comprehensive medical center that serves the Fort Wayne community with advanced surgical services and specialized care. The 99-bed department provides excellent support for both inpatient and outpatient services, including a dedicated burn and wound clinic that requires specialized plastic surgery expertise.
Opportunity:
Physician - Plastic Surgery, Surgery - General, Surgery - Burn
Job Details:
• Locum to permanent position opportunity starting June 29, 2026
• Handle 2-3 patient encounters per shift in a 99-bed department
• Must be willing to cover outpatient burn and wound clinic 8 hours per week minimum
• Board certification required with 60-day credentialing timeframe
• General plastic surgery skills required with hand reconstruction experience
• Preferred experience in facial surgery, breast surgery, oncologic breast surgery, and burn-related procedures
• Hand/wrist surgery capabilities including tendon and nerve repair
• Microsurgery and laser surgery experience preferred
• Must hold Indiana medical license or be eligible for IMLC
• Cranial surgery experience with synostosis cases preferred
• Maxillofacial reconstructive surgery including cleft lip/palate procedures preferred
• Experience with breast reconstruction, reduction mammoplasty, and augmentation procedures preferred
• Abdominoplasty and genitourinary reconstructive surgery experience preferred
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
