SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
Our clients are seeking a dedicated and student-centered LBS1 Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized educational programs (IEPs), providing specialized instruction, collaborating with general education staff and related service providers, and maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
CLIENT'S LOCATION
Schools are located in Chicago (Bevwerly neighborhood)
DESCRIPTION OF CLIENT'S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students receiving special education services.
* Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations.
* Conduct assessments, collect data, and monitor student progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
* Implement behavior intervention strategies and support plans as needed.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports, service logs, and compliance records.
* Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Create and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.

* Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
* LBS1 Endorsement required
* Experience working with students receiving special education services preferred
