Job Overview

Serves temporarily <6 months as a part-time (10 hours/week) Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Oncology at the Georgetown Medical Center and Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Incumbent duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with investigators and other study team members by participating in the recruitment of study participants; conduct participant screening and enrollment procedures and document eligibility data to support protocol compliance

  • Other duties as assigned

Work Interactions

This staff member will interact with the team's Principal Investigator and the Research Specialist 3. This person will be directly supervised by the Research Specialist 3 and report to them. This staff member will receive instruction from and communicate all task related updates to the Research Specialist 3. This person will also interact with the Principal Investigator in the event the Research Specialist is unavailable or there are concerns about the working relationship with the Research Specialist 3.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or health related field. No experience required.

  • Prior experience with human subjects research, preferable.

  • Strong candidates exhibit:

  • Ability to work independently and function within a team

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Reliable and able to prioritize competing responsibilities

  • Working knowledge of REDCap

  • Prior data entry experience

  • Prior human subjects recruitment experience

Pay Range

The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $23.81- $29.09. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
