Are you a detail-driven problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Walker Consultants is looking for a proactive and organized Project Accounting Assistant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Hoffman Estates, IL.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our Project Accountants, playing a key part in keeping our financial processes running smoothly and efficiently.
 
 
What You’ll Do  
 
  • Process accounts payable invoices 

  • Process employee expense reports for payment 

  • Process cash receipts on a daily basis 

  • Assisting with internal reporting of company airfare travel 

  • Set up vendors to pay with ACH 

  • Utilize accounting software to generate reporting as requested 

  • Perform special projects as needed 

 
What You Bring 
 
  • Obtained or currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree, or 1-3 years of applicable work experience 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Advanced computer skills required to learn and utilize accounting/project management software 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Ability to work independently and stay organized with multiple projects and tasks 

 
Compensation & Benefits 
 
At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated base salary range is $40,000 – $50,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. We value open conversations about compensation and welcome the opportunity to discuss more about base salary and Walker’s total rewards philosophy during the recruiting process.
