Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 2:45pm, 30-minute lunch breaks

Variable 5X8 hour days, 40 hours per week. Various locations through Loudoun County, VA caring for patients in a school setting

Must pass a fingerprint background checks and drug screen

ASAP start! This will be an ongoing contract for the entire school year

A Special Education Teaching Assistant at LCPS provides essential academic, behavioral, and personal care support to students with disabilities under teacher supervision. They implement individualized education plans (IEPs), manage classroom behavior, assist with daily living skills, and prepare instructional materials to foster an inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:

• Instructional Support: Tutoring individual students or small groups, reinforcing lessons, and helping students master assignments.
  

• Behavior Management: Applying specific, teacher-guided techniques (such as positive reinforcement or de-escalation) to support social and emotional welfare.
  

• Personal Assistance: Aiding students with physical disabilities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and motor skill activities.
  

• Classroom Management: Setting up materials, maintaining an organized environment, monitoring, and recording student data to track progress.
  

• Supervision: Monitoring students in classrooms, cafeterias, hallways, and during field trips.
