Basic Function
Looking for a summer seasonal position working with the community? This position would be great for you. You would be working under the supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator or Assistant Beach Manager, this exciting seasonal position monitors public activities, ensures patron safety; and maintains equipment and grounds at Angle Lake beach.
Representative Duties

  • Monitor aquatic activities at Angle Lake beach; ensure activities are proper and appropriate. E

  • Provide a safe environment for the public; supervise swimmers; render assistance and first-aid to accident and injury victims; rescue persons in distress; maintain order and discipline. E

  • Maintain aquatic equipment in good working order; ensure the beach is kept neat, clean and litter free. E

  • Provide high quality customer service to all patrons.

  • Provide information to the public concerning aquatic program policies, regulations, and schedules; answer participant inquiries in-person and over the telephone. E

  • Graduation from High School or current student in good academic standing.
  • A minimum of Sixteen (16) years of age.
  • Experience as a lifeguard preferred.
  • A combination of experience and training that provides the candidate with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Physical agility and stamina; lifting, walking, and overall physical movement; carrying, pushing or pulling; heavy lifting up to 100 pounds, more with assistance; sitting and standing for extended periods of time; seeing to monitor individual activities and read program materials; and, hearing and speaking to exchange information with others.
HAZARDS: Adverse weather conditions; physical injury; possible confrontations with dissatisfied or abusive individuals.
