Job Summary
POSITION: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Temporary
DATES: August 13, 2026 - January 29, 2027
HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., includes a 30-minute duty-free lunch.
SALARY: Step 1-6, on the Classified Salary Schedule, depending on experience and qualifications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated ability to work with staff, children, and parents required.
Prior School experience desired.
Ability to word process and enter data in databases proficiently required.
Good manuscript and writing skills desired.
Demonstrates professionalism required.
Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality required.
Flexible, punctual and able to work efficiently & independently required.
First aid and CPR certified required.
A valid CA driver's license is required.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
May be required to move ill or injured students.
Frequent interruptions.
A wide range of student behaviors and academic abilities may include distraught or difficult students.
May be required to deal with difficult or distraught parents.
Concentrated data entry and data interpretation.
Potential exposure to ordinary infectious diseases carried by students.
Potentially required to attend to student's personal hygiene.
Required to take reasonable precautions to avoid exposure to student bodily fluids, disinfectants and medications.
