Injection Molding Process Technician - PSC092225
 
Pay: $22 - 37/hr + Benefits
 
Industry: Plastic Injection Molding 
 
Schedule: Fulltime / O.T Available 
 
We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to join a stable and well-established leader in the plastic injection molding industry. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing injection molding machines to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with molding processes, strong troubleshooting skills, and a solid understanding of process optimization and quality standards.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and configure injection molding machines, molds, and related equipment
  • Fine-tune processing parameters to meet quality and production targets
  • Execute mold and material changeovers with minimal downtime
  • Diagnose and resolve molding issues such as warping, flash, and short shots
  • Perform in-process inspections and document findings accurately
  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in compliance with safety standards
  • Record setup sheets, production logs, and troubleshooting notes
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or vocational training; associate degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in injection molding or plastics processing
  • Familiarity with mold setup procedures and processing controls
  • Understanding of thermoplastics, tooling, and auxiliary systems
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions
  • Strong analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to production demands
