Job description

4-Month Temporary Assignment

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst I to support quality improvement initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data that drives operational and clinical performance. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, develop meaningful reports, improve processes, and support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and possesses strong Excel skills with the ability to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, extract, and analyze data from multiple sources, including electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and data summaries for leadership and clinical teams.
  • Monitor, track, and trend quality improvement metrics and organizational performance measures.
  • Support reporting requirements for internal operations, regulatory programs, grants, and performance initiatives.
  • Utilize healthcare data systems and Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and validate data.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
  • Respond to data requests and collaborate with multiple departments on reporting and process improvement projects.
  • Assist with project coordination and data management initiatives.
  • Perform data entry as needed while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable privacy, regulatory, and organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in data analysis, reporting, or data management within a mid-sized healthcare organization is required.
  • Healthcare experience in health information technology, quality improvement, data management, or a similar environment is highly preferred.
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and report creation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) or business intelligence/reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to various audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
