Facilities - Custodial Services 2nd Shift

Job Description:

Madison College has an opportunity for a Custodian to join the team part-time. This role involves hands-on manual tasks related to a range of custodial duties.

What sets this position apart from other custodians is the level of effort and autonomy it demands. While receiving instructions from supervisors or lead custodians, it doesn't oversee peers at the same level and isn't the sole custodian for a particular building.

The Custodian may also involve directing the work of and receiving assistance from student help, temporary workers, and work study personnel.

Position Details:

Schedule: This part-time, 20-hours a week position is based at Madison College Truax Campus, with a work schedule of Tuesday through Friday 8:00pm - 12:00am and Saturday 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Shift Differential Pay: This position will earn $2.00 per hour shift differential for all hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am, as well as for any hours worked on Sundays.

Expected Progression: This position includes an expected progression plan. Upon meeting the outlined criteria, you will be eligible to receive a $1.00 per hour increase.

  • Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.

  • Ability to effectively operate and learn to use hand tools, small power tools, and custodial equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

Education

  • HS Diploma,GEDor equivalent working experience. *Experience used as an equivalent of an educational requirement is in addition to any experience required by the position.
