Excellent communication, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach help build trust and ensure smooth transitions between different clinical environments. These skills ensure quality patient care and seamless integration into various dental teams during temporary assignments.

What is a Temp Dentist?

A Temp Dentist, or temporary dentist, is a licensed dental professional who fills in for other dentists on a short-term basis. This can occur when a dental practice needs coverage due to vacations, illness, maternity leave, or staff shortages. Temp dentists perform the same duties as regular dentists, such as exams, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. They provide vital support to ensure continuity of patient care and smooth dental office operations. Many temp dentists work through staffing agencies or as independent contractors.
