Job description

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and work in process with finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is ideal. A background in printing, packaging or a similar industry is a huge plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Examines purchase order and/or other documents to secure details regarding size, colors, content and other product characteristics being inspected for.
  • Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications, company's quality control system and conformity to specified standards.
  • Tests samples of product and documents results.
  • Approves or rejects product and writes report of inspection results
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations

  • Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Supports and explains reasoning for decisions; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions
  • Understands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Aligns work with strategic goals.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner while gathering and analyzing information skillfully
  • Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations

Field Label

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); college degree in related field preferred
  • One year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year or more of experience working in a manufacturing environment, printing, packaging or folding carton experience preferred
