Job description

Job Title: Structural Engineer II Location: Merritt Island, FL Type: Contract / On-site Compensation: starts at $58 per hour

Responsibilities • Engage stakeholders to gather and clarify structural and functional requirements • Translate requirements into vendor-ready design packages suitable for fabrication and construction • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, safety standards, and site conditions • Coordinate with vendors during fabrication to resolve RFIs and design clarifications • Incorporate engineering changes and design revisions in a fast-moving environment • Maintain revision-controlled drawing sets and document key design decisions • Support design reviews and resolve technical questions in the field

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field • 3+ years of structural, civil, or mechanical engineering experience • Experience producing fabrication-ready design packages for external vendors • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements • Proficiency in relevant CAD or design tools

Preferred • Experience with temporary or modular structures, including tent structures • Familiarity with anchorage, foundation, and environmental load considerations for temporary installations

Contract duration: Short-term | Location: On-site
