Job description

Position: Temporary part time administrative assistant.
Location: Boise, Idaho | onsite
Start date : 11/1/2025 and an end date of 12/31/2026.
Job Details:
  • Monday - Friday, 20 hrs. per week, schedule to be determined by the applicant and Serve Idaho Executive Director.
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Executive Director, performs financial record keeping and preparation of financial documents, including purchase-card transmittals, travel reimbursement forms, and reconciliations.
JOB FUNCTION
Essential Job Functions
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties to support the Serve Idaho Grants Officer and Financial Specialist.
  • Generate and maintain accurate financial documentation in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Perform all work duties and activities per Serve Idaho policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required
  • Ability to document financial data
  • Ability to read and analyze policies, procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and computer programs. Specific skill in using MS Office Suite, particularly: Word, Outlook, and Excel, as well as Adobe PDF and department-specific software.
  • Ability to apply tact and good judgment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and co-workers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Minimum
  • Some knowledge of financial record-keeping
  • Experience using computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data
  • Or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the equivalent necessary for satisfactory job performance.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to see well enough to read standard text with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to hear, with or without hearing support devices, well enough to converse on the telephone.
  • Ability to speak well enough to verbally converse with others, especially on the telephone.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to write and operate office machines.
