Job description

Position: CNC Vertical & Router Operator

Location: Browns line/Horner Ave. (Etobicoke, ON)

Payrate: $24.00- $26.00 (DOE)

Dayshift: 7am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday with overtime if needed

Permanent after 3 months of probation

Our client manufactures high-power solid-state transceivers for Radar, LEO satellites, LNAs, SSPAs, secure communication & radar solutions. They are in the RF Technology industry.

This position is responsible for the production of parts machined on CNC Router and CNC Vertical machines.

Requirements:

  • One to two years’ experience operating a high speed precision drilling and Routing system machine, and CNC Vertical milling machine
  • Ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings in order to set-up and operate CNC Routing machine and Vertical Milling machines
  • Good understanding of CNC programming software and GD&T
  • Above average proficiency in the use of measuring instruments
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment to resolve CNC Router and CNC vertical milling machining issues effectively

Preferred:

  • Two to three years’ experience with CNC Router and 3-Axis Vertical milling machines
  • Experience with Mastercam programming is preferred
  • Machining of small complex aluminum and substrate parts
  • Safety training and certification

General Duties:

  • Accurately interpret and read engineering drawings
  • Set up, load, run, and unload parts machined on CNC Router and Vertical Milling machines
  • Comply with safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment
  • Housekeeping – Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to do light to moderate lifting
  • Perform first off inspections; Ensure part is within tolerances and dimensions provided on Inspection sheet and drawing
  • Complete process and production records
  • Work with others to eliminate repeated rejections and improve quality

Education:

High School minimum. College/ vocational or technical training credentials preferred (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.)
