Job description

The Global Process Lead for Opportunity to Order (OTO) is an end-to-end process expert responsible for designing, optimizing, and governing the OTO value stream across all regions (AMER, EMEA, and APAC). This role drives process standardization from opportunity creation through order booking, ensuring seamless integration with adjacent value streams including Order to Cash (O2C), SIOP, NPDI, and Source to Pay (S2P).

This leader serves as the primary liaison between the TEO organization and business execution teams for the OTO value stream. Owning the global process blueprint, enabling regional alignment, and partnering with Digital/Technology teams to deliver scalable, system-enabled process solutions that improve quote cycle times, order accuracy, and commercial velocity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process Design & Standardization: Own the global blueprint for the OTO process, including L2, L3, and L4 process maps spanning Create Opportunity, Create Quote, and PO Validation process groups - ensuring designs are fit-for-purpose across ETO and CTO business models.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Project Management to define roles, responsibilities, and handoffs (RACI) across the full OTO lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify pain points, reduce lead times, and drive measurable improvements in process efficiency, data quality, and customer experience - targeting reductions in quote cycle time and improvements in order conversion rates.
  • SOP Development & Governance: Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Aids governing the OTO process, with clear focus on system-specific execution steps, data origins, and critical handoff points.
  • Regional Alignment: Coordinate with Regional Process Leaders across AMER, EMEA, and APAC to ensure consistent global adoption while accommodating legitimate regional requirements and compliance obligations.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with Digital and Technology teams to ensure OTO processes are enabled through enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, configurators) and proactively identify integration gaps affecting process performance.
  • Change Management Partnership: Partner with OCM leads to design and deliver training, communications, and adoption plans that embed new ways of working effectively across all business units and geographies.
  • Value Realization: Define and track OTO KPIs including quote cycle time, win rate, order accuracy, and opportunity-to-order conversion metrics - demonstrating measurable business value against approved targets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary interface between the TEO organization and business execution teams for the OTO value stream, building trust and alignment with stakeholders from executive sponsors to frontline operators.
  • Program Integration: Support integration with adjacent value stream leads (OTC, NPDI, S2P, SIOP) to ensure cross-stream consistency, shared data standards, and aligned process handoffs across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in process management, business transformation, or operations within a global manufacturing or critical infrastructure environment
  • Deep expertise in Opportunity to Order, Lead to Order, or Quote to Cash end-to-end processes
  • Proven experience designing and deploying global process blueprints across multiple regions and ERP/CRM platforms
  • Strong understanding of Engineered to Order (ETO) and Configured to Order (CTO) business models
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience with process mapping methodologies (L2-L4), RACI development, and SOP authoring
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement frameworks
  • Proficiency with enterprise systems such as Oracle, Salesforce, or equivalent CRM/ERP platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Agile practices in large-scale enterprise transformation programs
  • Background in power management, data center infrastructure, or critical infrastructure industries
  • Experience with AI- or analytics-driven process optimization and touchless processing initiatives
  • Prior experience in a Global Process Owner, Process Integration Lead, or O2C Program Lead capacity
