Job Summary:

The Router/Finishing Quality Inspector Technician performs finishing and/or bindery steps necessary to complete an order in an efficient per Imagine standards and procedures. Operations that may fall under the Router/ Finishing Quality Inspector Technician role include laser table, Zund, laminator, weeding, Gromet, welder, Packsize, Wide Format, Rollfed, Router, and Die Cutter.


Shift Hours: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm


Job Description:

  • Provide coverage for Digital Finishing as a floater and assist with operation of Router, Zund and Die Cutter.
  • Assist Digital Finishing Operators with daily functionality.
  • Review and understand all job ticket information.
  • Complete equipment standard set up and adjustments as needed.
  • Cut product to final size/shape by operating finishing equipment.
  • Assist in Operation of die-cutting equipment.
  • Assist in Operation of Router
  • Assist in Operation of Zund.
  • Monitor output quality, throughout the production process including data collection for job tracking, and report issues as appropriate.
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Complete jobs according to customer specifications by producing quality work and performing quality checks.
  • Meet productivity and quality standards by completing work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Learn and perform basic preventative maintenance to finishing equipment.
  • Identify and report quality, equipment, or production issues promptly.
  • Contribute to safety goals by maintaining a clean, clutter-free workplace, report potentially unsafe conditions and ensure that the department meets and exceeds safety requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Production Manager and other Team Members to address opportunities for improvement.
  • May need to move material via material handling equipment (may entail use of forklift/pallet jacks).
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Maintain a 5s throughout the Digital Finishing area.
  • Self-starter capable of taking initiative and working with minimal direction.
  • A positive attitude including high energy, and a drive to contribute and make an impact
  • Able to perform complex tasks, prioritize multiple projects
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • High school diploma or equivalent, four years relevant industry experience or experience as an Imagine temporary employee along with manager approval to hire full-time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • Previous experience working in printing, manufacturing, distribution, and/or fulfillment.
  • Experience using an ERP system.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate/understand written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color.
  • Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic measuring skills including Standard and Metric units.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.

The national pay range for this role is listed below. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
