Whatyou willdo

We're looking for FX Artist to join an unannounced series at Disney Television Animation!

  • The artist produces all FX animation within the provided scenes.

  • Utilizing any reference given from the design packs and following the timing from the animatic, the artist creates the FX in the style established in the series.

  • FX includes water, fire, smoke, dust, debris, electrical, lighting and all other aspects of effects design and animation.

  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have 2D FX animation experience for television

  • An impeccable understanding of the animation principles; highly developed drawing skills.

  • Strong understanding of motion, weight, emotion and acting, with an emphasis on clear storytelling.

  • Ability to align with style and sensibility of show

  • A portfolio demonstrating your ability to design and create a variety of props and styles

  • Knowledge of drawing software that includes Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D technology, where applicable. Previous experience with Toonboom Harmony is an asset but not a necessity. Skills

The pay rate for this role in California is $59.16 to $64.62 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
