Job description

Your Tasks

PORR is expanding its data center activities and is seeking a Design Manager to coordinate design delivery on a large data center construction project. The role covers design programme, RFIs, design reviews, consultant coordination, subcontractor design, buildability, procurement support, and construction interface management.

  • Management of the design programme and design deliverables
  • Coordination of consultants, subcontractor design, internal teams, and client comments
  • Tracking of RFIs, design changes, technical queries, and design decisions
  • Leadership of design coordination meetings and technical workshops
  • Alignment of design information with procurement, construction, inspection, and commissioning requirements
  • Management of the design risk register and escalation of design issues affecting cost, programme, or quality
  • Support of buildability, maintainability, and value engineering reviews
  • Coordination of design interfaces between CSA, MEP, security, BMS, fire systems, telecoms, and commissioning
Your Profile
  • Degree in architecture, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or another relevant design discipline
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in design coordination or design management
  • Experience in data centre, mission-critical, industrial, or MEP-heavy projects preferred
  • Good understanding of CSA and MEP coordination, design deliverables, RFIs, and technical reviews
  • Experience managing consultants and subcontractor design teams
  • Understanding of construction sequence, procurement requirements, and commissioning constraints
  • Experience with BIM coordination and CDE workflows desirable
  • Fluency in English; German or Polish language skills advantageous
