Description:

We are ERock!

ERock is a leader and innovator in distributed energy. ERock has responded to long-term trends in electricity by becoming the first smart-grid supplier to US energy consumers. The company installs, operates, and integrates its highly flexible, low-cost, and quick-response distributed generation to increase reliability and stability, reduce costs and decrease carbon footprint.

At ERock, our backup generators ensure that customers will never be without power, allowing their business to operate normally when there is an outage in the area. Our innovative approach provides customers with highly reliable, ultra-clean backup generation at a fraction of the cost of traditional backup solutions. We seek those who share our commitment to customer service, innovation, and ingenuity.

Role Overview:

ERock is seeking a dynamic and operationally focused manufacturing executive to lead the expansion of its Houston manufacturing operations as Vice President Manufacturing & Production. This role will oversee production and manufacturing activities supporting the company’s engine and generator packaging business.

The VP will serve as the operational leader for the Houston site and will be responsible for scaling production operations, improving manufacturing efficiency, strengthening quality systems, and building a highly disciplined manufacturing organization capable of supporting rapid expansion.

This is a highly visible and business-critical leadership role requiring an individual who can operate effectively at every level of the organization, from executive leadership discussions focused on strategy, scalability, operational metrics, and financial performance, to direct engagement with shop floor teams driving execution, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must be equally comfortable leading through data, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and building credibility across both corporate and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations for ERock’s Houston manufacturing and production facility.
  • Oversee fabrication, assembly, integration, testing and manufacturing support functions.
  • Ensure manufacturing capabilities meet customer requirements for quality, responsiveness, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs across all operations.
  • Lead manufacturing engineering and maintenance functions to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards across manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and Field Operations teams to align manufacturing execution with business priorities.
  • Own manufacturing budgets, staffing plans, operational metrics, and productivity initiatives.
Requirements:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related discipline required.
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing and production leadership experience within industrial, energy, power systems, electrical equipment, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience leading complex manufacturing or fabrication operations in a high-growth or scaling environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and production system management.
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence and ability to drive execution through teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading large operational teams and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Experience with reciprocating engine manufacturing is highly desirable.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) with a company contribution
  • Wellness Programs and Incentives
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan & Company Match
  • Paid Time Off – Sick & Vacation Time
  • Paid Holidays
  • Cool Open-Office Concept
