Job description

Summertown Metals is looking for a Mobile Roll Forming Technician. This is a full-time position with benefits that include accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, 401K with a company match, vacation and PTO time.
Job Description: Mobile Roll Forming Technician
Job duties include, but are not limited to
  • Determine jobs for standing seam to get maximum usage of time.
  • Programming jobs into standing seam; making sure correct color, length, and count is entered.
  • Taking heed of required color and footage to better inform the material handler of additional coils needed to be prepped.
  • Loading coil to stock reel and roll former in a quick and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
  • Entering/closing out jobs properly in access so as to prevent double rolling a job.
  • Keep an eye out for places to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Assisting in the wrapping, banding, and labeling of packs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Assisting in maintenance of standing seam machine.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and keep on the lookout for potential hazards.
  • Act as main point of contact for roll former teams 1 and 2.
  • In downtime you may be asked to help with other tasks which could result in doing another position within the shop that is needed at that time.
  • Calling customer informing them the day before you are going to run there job to get any gate codes, or special directions etc, before leaving to go run the material.
  • Inform little bob (shipping) what he needs to take to the job and confirm what you will be taking to ensure everything is accounted for.
  • Make the call on some jobs whether to run it on site or run it here and crate it to be shipped.
