Director of Nursing (DON)- Temp to Hire/ Direct Hire

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled DON to join our team!    This role is temp to hire or direct hire opportunity.  The DON will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of the residents in an Assisted Living Community in the Crystal area.  The ideal candidate will have experience in Assisted Living settings and a passion for providing high-quality care to individuals with disabilities.  Come join our amazing team of healthcare professionals!

This is a full time salaried position Monday -Friday with minimal on call responsibilities. 
Salary:  $95,000-$110,000 annually
Responsibilities:

  • Initiates the development and implementation of policies and procedures that govern the Nursing Services in collaboration with appropriate services.
  • Participates in SNF planning, decision making and policy formulation at management meetings.
  • Maintains regulatory requirements.
  • Engages and support our programs (which may include Assisted Living, Memory Care, and/or other departments.
  • Plans, develops, implements and controls the annual budget for the nursing personnel.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the geriatric resident and short term stay / rehabilitation programs.
  • Evaluates nursing staff ability to assess and care for residents.
  • Coordinates and directs resident care and education by monitoring care plans and coaching nursing staff to improve the quality of care rendered.
  • Oversees the assessment of all residents and the completion and updating the Minimum Data Sets and Care Plans.
  • Participates in the interviewing, hiring, staffing, coaching and disciplinary actions of Skilled Nursing Facility staff.
  • Supports the Transforming Age Culture of Excellence in all areas of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Current unrestricted RN license in the state of Minnesota.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role..
  • Proven experience with audits, surveys and corrective action planning.
