Job description

Symetra is seeking a seasoned sales leader to join our growing Stop Loss Sales team as a Regional Group Vice President!
About the role
As a Regional Group Vice President, you will drive both the regional success of your sales team and management of broker partnerships. You will maximize the sales production from those relationships, establishing marketing plans that result in profitable new and renewal business. You will gain market share in an increasingly competitive environment. You understand that relationships are critical to our success - both internal and external - and will build and nurture relationships with your team, internal partners, third party administrators, consultants and brokers.
What you will do
  • Recruit, hire, train and develop your sales team of Regional Group Managers, providing regular performance feedback.
  • Effectively manage your territory, demonstrating understanding of key performance indicators, detailed sales and market metrics, and assessment of business exceptions with successful results.
  • Act as a steward of company resources.
  • Drive success in your region by creating and maintaining strong Broker relationships, building and implementing smart marketing plans, and conducting objective and critical assessments of wins and losses to continuously improve your region's success.

Compensation
$125,000 annual base salary plus eligibility for Incentive Compensation
Who you are
  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 12-15 years experience with Stop Loss sales.
  • Applicable State Agent Licenses and Health Insurance Industry designations, such as LOMA, HIAA, etc.
  • Strong track record of success in leading sales teams.
