Job description

Job Summary:
Sebenza LLC is a woman-owned small business operating out of McLean, VA, currently seeking a Telecommunications Technician to support their contract in Lanham, MD. The role involves providing Tier 1 & 2 telecommunication user support, installing and supporting telecommunications hardware, and diagnosing network device configuration problems.
Responsibilities:
• Provide Tier 1 & 2 telecommunication user support for:
• Install and support of telecommunications hardware;
• Diagnose and resolve network device configuration problems;
• Evaluate and implement bug fixes associated with security vulnerabilities;
• Evaluate and diagnose cabling, software and hardware problems;
• Provide technical support for webcast and video teleconferences
• Basic LAN troubleshooting skills/tools – TCP/IP, Trace-route, NBSTAT, PING, or other duties as assigned;
• Support technology upgrades – both hardware and software;
• Provide problem tracking support (CA ServiceDesk) – end-user desktop/server support;
• Perform root cause analysis
• Perform telecommunication equipment decommissioning
• Documentation of standard IT processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5 to 10 years of experience
• Cisco switch/router and VPN administration
• Video Teleconferencing and/or Webcast administration
• Relevant Cisco Certifications: CCNA
• Cisco ACI Fabric experience
• Must be able to pass a 'Public Trust' background investigation
