Administrative and Operations Support Position |Telecommunications Operations | Field Coordination

Location: Novi, MI

SUMMARY: Next Solutions is seeking a highly organized Operations Coordinator to support scheduling, customer communication, work order management, and field operations within our growing telecommunications organization. This position serves as a critical link between customers, technicians, and leadership, ensuring projects are completed accurately and efficiently. Candidates with administrative, dispatch, customer service, scheduling, or operations support experience are encouraged to apply.

As field support needs fluctuate, this role may also provide assistance cross-training opportunities with drop bury operations in the field; creating opportunities for additional earnings and hands-on industry experience.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Coordinate and manage daily drop bury work orders
  • Schedule technicians and maintain project timelines

  • Track completed work and ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • Enter, update, and maintain job information in company systems
  • Assist with reporting, invoicing, and administrative support activities
  • Support field technicians by coordinating schedules and helping resolve operational issues
  • Monitor work order status and follow up on outstanding items
  • Maintain organized project records and supporting documentation
  • Partner with leadership to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with field-based drop bury work when operational needs allow

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous administrative, customer service, dispatch, scheduling, operations, or coordinator experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar business applications
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting field operations, service teams, construction projects, or telecommunications teams preferred
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Valid driver's license preferred

  • Occasional travel to field locations may be required.
  • The typical schedule is 40+ hours per week, with flexibility to support operational demands as needed.
