Telecommunication Construction Laborer


SRU Electric LLC is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to fill a telecom cation construction laborer/civil technician role.


Travel is required and must be able to be out of town during the week and periodic weekends. When staying out of town company pays for hotel and overnight per diem is paid weekly.

-HIGHER PAY FOR HAVING CLASS A CDL


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as a part of a 3-4 man crew
  • Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Foreman.
  • Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
  • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
  • Load or unload construction materials.
  • Digs ditches or trenches, backfills excavations, levels pipes. Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools
  • Prepare sites for concrete pours
  • Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, manual labor and shovel work, operate power tools
  • Perform various labor tasks and other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Key Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Can pass a background check and drug test
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including out-of-state trips.
  • Willing to work outdoors year-round
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in construction
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects by hand or with equipment.
