Job description

Position Purpose

The Telecommunications Technician is responsible for completing daily repairs, installations and orders for system-wide telecommunications services. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining all telephone hardware and seeing that repairs are completed in a timely manner, with patient needs always being top priority.

Position Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or related field preferred

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Excellent telephone and reception manners. Good memory. Good judgment. Public Relations ability. Managerial/supervisory skills. Clerical perception and accuracy. Scheduling. Instructional skills. Mathematical skills. Able to direct most phases of a telecommunications installation. Preference for meeting and serving customers.
