Job Summary
Perform wide variety of activities associated with onsite installation of telecommunication infrastructure. Relies on general instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Complete tasks required for end-to-end system installation and testing.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complete tasks required for end-to-end system installation and testing. Duties and responsibilities will vary based on project type, scope, duration, and manpower assignments. Specific duties and responsibilities will also be dictated by the individual's level of knowledge and experience.
  • Tasks and duties as assigned by higher level Technicians, Lead Technicians or Site Manager.
  • Promotes AllCom's Core Values of Honesty, Integrity, Quality and Performance.
Job Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in the construction and/or telecommunications installation field
  • Experience with installation practices within telecom/data center environment, including but not limited to for following:
    • Installation of raised floor systems
    • Installation of server cabinets and open racks
    • Installation of ladder racks, fiber troughs and associated ancillary material
    • Clear understanding of proper lacing techniques
  • Ability to complete tasks completely and thoroughly with supervision
  • Ability to stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Must be able to climb ladders up to 25 feet and work on lifts up-to 40 feet
  • Must be able to lift or carry loads up to 50 pounds
Education / Certification
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 3-4 years of telecommunication infrastructure installation experience required
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment testing (drug and background) and have a valid drivers license
  • Must possess an active Department of Defense Clearance
  • Telecommunications Technician (Active Clearance Required)- 100% Travel
