Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings): Senior Software Engineer. Perform software engineering duties in furtherance of design and implementation of custom web applications, largely around authentication, authorization, and identity-related products; design, implement, automate, and support all aspects of the product; participate in the architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of software solutions; develop new applications, improve current systems and bring new capabilities to our customers; contribute to our automated test suite, including unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests in labs and QA environments; improve current functionality and bring new features to the software platform. Required Qualification:
Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, IT, Information Systems, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Must Have: Two (2) years of experience with the following: development on Linux/Unix based OS; building and consuming REST/JSON APIs; web development core technologies; UI test frameworks; UI build systems; network protocols such as TLS and HTTP; version control and continuous integration tools such as Git and Jenkins; software architecture design principles and best practices; data structures and algorithms; and working in agile teams.

Compensation
Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $138,237-$218,600/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
