Position Title: Journeyman Electrician – Mission Critical / Data Centers
Location: Kansas City + Nationwide Travel
Pay: $50–$55/hour (DOE)
Per Diem: $150

HIRING ON BONUS: $1,500

RELOCATION PACKAGE: $5,000
Schedule: 50+ Hours Weekly

Job Overview

NCW is hiring high-level Journeyman Electricians for mission critical projects supporting data centers, network engineering rooms, and telecommunications facilities.


This is a long-term opportunity with a clear path to direct hire. Candidates must be strong leaders and trainers, able to mentor apprentices while working in client-facing environments.


UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) experience REQUIRED
Client-facing role – professionalism, communication, and presentation are critical
Must speak, read, and write fluent English


Job Duties

• Perform electrical maintenance and installation in mission critical environments
• Work on UPS systems, generators, and backup power systems
• Install and maintain systems in data centers, telecom rooms, and network facilities
• Run conduit, work with 480V / 3-phase systems, and tap boxes
• Monitor and troubleshoot remote/network systems
• Train and mentor apprentices (1st–3rd year) – lead, don’t intimidate
• Interact directly with clients in a professional, customer-first manner
• Follow strict safety protocols and jobsite standards


Requirements

• Active Journeyman Electrician License PREFFERED (any state accepted)
• Strong experience in mission critical environments
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) experience REQUIRED
• Background in data centers, telecom, or network engineering rooms
• Heavy commercial/industrial electrical experience
• Strong leadership and training ability (mentor mindset, not aggressive)
• Must pass MVR (driving company vehicle)
• Must speak, read, and write fluent English
• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills


Tools & PPE

• Full set of electrical tools required
• FR shirt and electrical-rated boots required
• Boot allowance provided after 1 year
