Job Overview
As a Network Equipment Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting Verizon's 4G and 5G network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ordering and tracking network equipment, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate implementation of engineering projects. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Order and track network equipment based on design specifications.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Create and maintain project schedules using tools like Fuze.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including RF Design, Real Estate, Construction, and System Performance.
  • Support power company engagement and infrastructure requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Verizon and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and verifications to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and milestone tracking.
  • Lead technical discussions and provide subject matter expertise on equipment and processes.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in network engineering or telecom.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in vendor management, equipment ordering, and forecasting.
